create (a life): yearly pictures

Ah, it's that time again. The end of summer when my children decide to, against my advice, become one year older. Stay small, I tell them. Growing up is over-rated, Everyone grows up- be unique, be an individual, go against the grain, I advise. They never listen, and so we have the birthday parties then afterwards send out the pictures to document this "over-rated" growing up process (wink).

First there are the wallets, which are my favorite. I love the little, portable size and enjoy designing my own. (Tutorial from previous post, here.) And then there are the standard, growing-up-much-too-quickly shots...

...because I promise you, just yesterday, both of these kiddos nestled perfectly into my arms. I've heard recently that "the days are long, but the years are short." Indeed, they are.
