Middle of the Week
By freshlyplanted - 3:15 PM
This week finds me...
...behind on a bit of everything as we focus on closing on our rental.
...wishing we were closing today as planned, instead of it being moved (for the third time).
...posting pretty pictures instead! Here's us moving- slowly but surely- through our bucket list.
...enjoying the pictures of our Mama & Isia outing to this local monument.
...proud that we Both made it up the 330 steps, without anyone needing to be carried. I was a bit worried halfway through, but we made it!
...happy that our kids enjoy eating ice cream as much as we do.
...amazed at much our kids are improving at swimming. These life jacketshave been a big help. They're also helpful when trying to sniggle a bit of pasta before dinner (ahem).
...mastering the "before bedtime" swim. We eat dinner. drive to the Y in our suits, swim, change the kids into their pj's, then drive home to put them to bed. A great release of late afternoon energy!
...reading "Bluebeard" by Kurt Vonnegut and "Simplicity Parenting" by Kim John Payne.
...finding them both inspiring, in different ways.
...inpsired by this as we prepare for our garage sale on Friday:

"A smaller, more manageable quantity of toys invites deeper play and engagement. An avalanche of toys invites emotional disconnect and a sense of overwhelm." -Kim John Payne
...not ready to get rid of all our toys, but definitely encouraged to continue to add to our "to be sold" pile.
...preparing myself to conquer the rest of the basement tomorrow- wish me luck!
Wishing you a great start to your week!
